1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Services.
• Create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• Process transactions, subscriptions, and billing.
• Deliver customer support, troubleshoot problems, and resolve disputes.
• Understand how the Services are used and improve features, performance, and reliability.
• Send service-related notices such as security alerts, updates, and administrative messages.
• Send marketing communications about products, features, and offers that may interest you (you can opt out at any time – see Section 7).
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your User Content to train or develop artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not share User Content between customers.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below.

4. Data Storage

The Services are hosted on cloud infrastructure located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it. These are the periods we use.

• Your data in the Services: seven years by default. You can set a shorter period, anywhere from one day to seven years, and the period you set is the one we use.
• After you close your account: at least 30 days. We keep your data for 30 days so the account can be restored, then delete it. Ask us and we will delete it sooner.
• Backups: up to 30 days. Deleted data can remain in a backup for up to 30 days before that backup expires.
• Security logs: six years. Logs that identify a customer are kept for 60 days after that customer leaves, or six years, whichever comes first.
• Records of a security incident: six years from the date the incident is closed.

Two things override these periods. If the law requires us to keep something for longer, we keep it for as long as the law requires. If data is under a legal hold, we keep it until the hold is lifted, whatever period would otherwise apply.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to:

• Keep you signed in and remember your settings.
• Understand how visitors use our website and Services.
• Measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor browser “Do Not Track” signals and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. Disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the Services.

7. Your Choices

• Account information – you can review and update your account information at any time by logging into your account.
• Marketing emails – you can opt out by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us. You will continue to receive service-related messages.
• Cookies – see Section 6.
• Access, correction, and deletion – you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

8. Security

We maintain a security program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly investigate and delete it.

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to know – request what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and the categories of sources and recipients.
• Right to correct – request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to delete – request that we delete personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to portability – receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing – we do not sell personal information for money. Some analytics and advertising cookies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law; you can opt out through your browser settings, by enabling Global Privacy Control, or by contacting us.
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information – request that we limit use of sensitive personal information to purposes permitted by law.
• Right to non-discrimination – we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent’s authority.

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section 1798.83), California residents may request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Send such requests to the contact address in Section 12.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as by email or an in-product notification. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
